2012 Pisilian Eco-working Holiday

Pisilian is an indigenous tribe in Taitung, which means ”the place where people raise goats”. Amis people have been living here for hundreds of years, they rely on the ocean for food and their culture. Today, we’re not only facing ocean pollution problems but also the influence to the traditional culture due to the threatens of the marine creatures. We will go for Reef Check and Coastal Cleaning at Pisilian Eco Working Holiday from Oct. 6^th to 8^th, welcome to join us to save the ocean and experience the Amis way of life!

Reef Check is a simple system for scuba diving volunteers to participate in reef conservation by reef monitoring.

Marine debris is one of the most serious population problems, killing many marine creatures, it also threatens human life, communities and economies around the world. Join us in Coastal Cleanup and Marine Debris Monitoring to make a difference!

【Dates】

【Volunteer work】

Reef Check and Coastal Cleanup at Kihau and Pisilian

【Conditions】

Team Reef Check：adult(age 18 or older), possess advanced diving certificate. If participants only possess open water diving certificate, they must have scuba dived more than 50 tanks

Team Coastal Cleanup：adult(age 18 or older)
